Plastics offers the Drader Plastic Welding Equipment
and Supplies. (New and Reburbished)
Drader’s Injectiweld
system is known worldwide for its high quality weld and ease of use. Drader developed
the Injectiweld for bonding thermoplastics such as polyethylene,
polypropylene, polycarbonate, polyamides, ABS, polystyrene and others. Fabricate, prototype, and repair most
thermoplastics using the Drader Injectiweld.
What is so great about the Injectiweld? Strong welds.
Molten welding rod injected below the surface of the plastic creates a strong
weld, and the Injectiweld's patented process does
just that. The Injectiweld's
tip forms the weld zone and prepares the plastic for a high-pressure injection
of molten welding rod. Physical mixing
of the plastic substrate and the welding rod makes a strong, high quality
bond. The weld is stress free because of
the way the Injectiweld fully melts the welding
rod. Independent tests prove Drader's claim of a superior weld. Recent results of a flexural strength test
indicated "no break of weld or material" in any of the samples. We do not know of any other fabrication
equipment that can offer these results.
The Injectiweld is also easy to use. It can make strong welds even if the operator
does not have extensive welding experience.
You can save time and money with the Drader
because of its features. You do not need
the expert's touch to get a high quality weld with Drader's
automatic injection pressure. The
automatic feed system also enables use of the welder with one hand. The welder's tip works below the surface
layer of plastic so there is no need to scrape off the oxidation to get a
quality weld. Drader's
12 tips are interchangeable, so your system is versatile. It is compact; therefore, it allows your
operator to reach confined spaces easily.
Fabricating:
The Drader Injectiweld
is easily adapted into production and assembly applications. Operate the Injectiweld
with one hand and hold the plastic with the other. Now try to do that with other welding
systems. The Injectiweld
is easy to use and lightweight, so it can go into areas where other equipment
can not operate.
The Injectiweld makes use of
numerous interchangeable tips. Sheet and
pipe fabricators obtain welds from 1/16" to 5/16" in a single
pass. Some fabricators use the Injectiweld to securely spot weld products together. Others use the welder to tack products
together for ease in further processing.
Even small welds produced by the Drader are
strong. Thin sheet welding applications
are ideal for the Injectiweld since it does not
distort the plastic by blowing hot air.
Use the Injectiweld on hard to weld products
such as high molecular weight polyethylene (HMWPE), polycarbonate (PC) SantopreneÒ,
and EPDM.
Repair:
Plastic breaks.
Repair it, and get it back into service.
Cost effectively repair thermoplastics such as containers, totes, fish
pens, carts, tanks, pipes, boats, and ATV fenders. The combination of heat and pressure from the
Injectiweld produces quality welds on previously
un-repairable parts. Drader
also has special tools that improve plastic repair.
Prototyping:
Develop models and prototypes by using the Injectiweld. The Injectiweld makes strong welds and allows real life tests
on welded prototypes. The Injectiweld is capable of producing strong, inconspicuous
welds as small as .060". Drader has special prototyping tips, which allow model
builders to get into tight spaces.
An Injection Molding Machine?
Now, there is a new function for the Injectiweld
as an Injection molding machine. Use the
welder to inject molten plastic into small molds. It is an inexpensive way to make a small
parts run.
Rotomolding:
The combination
of the heated metal tip and the high pressure of the plastic extrudate produce welds on rotomolded
parts that are water and airtight.
Rotational molders reduce scrap parts by using the Injectiweld
to seal seams, blow-bys, and voids. They
also use the welder to add baffles, flanges, and fittings onto their plastic
products. The strength of the weld is
very close to the strength of the virgin material so there is no need to worry
about weak spots. To add to the quality
of these welds, Drader can produce custom welding rod
using rotomolded grade resin for an exact color and
material match.
Lining:
Whether in the field or in your shop, the Injectiweld can perform repairs and fabrications on your
Lining Systems. Weld boots flanges and
seams or repair test holes and tears using the Injectiweld.
